Nina is known throughout the community for her ability to quickly identify and match each individual's goals with the appropriate loan products and ensure that her clients' needs and expectations are met. Her extensive knowledge and experience are not all she has to bring to the table. Nina's outgoing personality and determination push her to the forefront of the financing industry. She is proud to be closely connected to the Virginia Peninsula Association of Realtors (VPAR) and works to support their involvement with the community.
Over the past 20 years Nina has learned to not only focus on one need a customer may have, but all aspects of the mortgage financing process. Whether her client is a first time home buyer (VHDA, VA, FHA), building a home (Construction Perm), or simply refinancing an existing mortgage, Nina understands the importance of her customers' needs during this significant decision in their life.
Working to continually be involved in the Real Estate community, Nina has served on the VPAR Risk Management Committee for the past 9 years. She's received numerous prestigious awards including 2003 VPAR's Affiliate of the Year and the 2008 Peninsula Homebuilders Association's Associate of the Year. Nina graduated from Lenoir Rhyne College with a BS in Medical Technology and obtained her MT Certificate from Duke Medical Center. After years of being a medical technologist and starting a family, Nina was drawn to the flexibility and future potential growth of the Real Estate industry and has never looked back.
Courtney Efird - Loan Officer Assistant
Also here to help you is Nina's assistant, Courtney Efird. Courtney graduated from the University of South Carolina in December 2007 with degrees in Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing. After graduating she immediately went to work for a local government contractor doing Corporate Communications. Throughout her two years there she utilized her public relations skills to help grow the company from 100 employees to over 275. She was also very involved in the community and served as the Compliance Chairman for her late company's Foundation. She participated in the Walk to Defeat ALS in the summer of 2009 and continues to be active in the VA Peninsula Chamber of Commerce.
Joining SunTrust at the end of 2009, Courtney looks forward to her many years of marketing and public relations to help her excel in the mortgage field. With two years of learning about the military and dealing with military personnel she is ready to communicate with the large military population here in Hampton Roads. With all of her family in the Real Estate and Mortgage fields she looks forward to growing and learning as she continues to help make SunTrust the top choice for banking and lending in Hampton Roads.
